Vedanta rises as its Jharsuguda SEZ receives ISO certification

Vedanta is currently trading at Rs. 164.10, up by 3.60 points or 2.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 160.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 161.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 166.05 and Rs. 161.10 respectively. So far 632673 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 202.45 on 16-Jan-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 125.70 on 22-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 166.05 and Rs. 152.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 61054.92 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.14%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.71% and 10.12% respectively.

Vedanta’s Jharsuguda Special Economic Zone (SEZ) unit (Plant-2) has received ISO 50001:2011 (Energy Management System) certification. The certification is for production and supply of primary aluminium, ingots, wire rod and billets effective from December 19, 2019. It is a significant recognition for company’s energy efficiency standards in the global metal industry.
