US Markets end higher on Fed rate hike

The US markets ended higher after a policy announcement by the Fed that raised interest rates to market expectations.

Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 303.7 points or 1 percent to 30,668.53, Nasdaq gained 270.81 points or 2.5 percent to 11,099.16.

S&P 500 was up by 54.51 points or 1.46 percent to 3,789.99.

Asian markets are trading mostly in greenafter the US central bank's policy move.
