The Khelo India Women's Track Cycling Championships will begin on December 20.

For the first time, the Khelo India Women's event will involve Track Cycling.

The event, slated to take place over four Zones, has been sanctioned for a total INR 1.15 crore by the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports

The first portion of the North Zone Amritsar leg will be held at SAI NSNIS Patiala.

On December 20 and 21, the tournament will be held in the cycling velodrome on the NSNIS campus.

The North Zone stages will next go to the Punjab Agriculture University in Ludhiana and the Guru Nanak Dev University Campus in Amritsar on December 23-24 and December 28-29, respectively.

The first part of the South Zone will also be held this year with SAI LNIPE Trivandrum hosting it on December 26-27.

The Cycling Federation of India is staging this event, which will take place over the Sprint, Keirin, 500m Individual Time Trial, Individual Pursuit, and Scratch Race disciplines, with cooperation from the Union Sports Ministry.

This year's Road Cycling competitions under the Khelo India Sports for Women component comprise the Road event on December 24-25 in Bikaner and the Road event on December 29-30 in Palode, Trivandrum.
